Rebecca LeGrand is the founder of LeGrand Law. A formidable litigator, with twenty years of experience defending both companies and individuals facing complex legal challenges, Rebecca has earned a reputation for being a tenacious, intelligent, and creative lawyer.

Rebecca approaches her cases strategically and analytically. A biologist by training, Rebecca considers her science background an invaluable asset in her fight for justice.

She has tried several high-profile cases, including successfully defending an investigator wrongly charged with obstruction of justice in a three-week federal jury trial, and obtaining a judgement of acquittal at the retrial of a woman wrongly convicted of murder in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Rebecca began her career as a litigation associate at Williams & Connolly. She then joined a small firm in D.C., which she helped grow into a leading boutique criminal defense firm. In 2016, Rebecca started her own firm, where she has built a passionate team and tackled a diverse range of casework.

Rebecca is admitted to the bars of the District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia, as well as multiple federal trial and appellate courts.

She has served as an adjunct professor at American University Washington College of Law. She has also spoken at the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) White Collar Conference, and appeared as a guest legal expert on major news programs.

In her spare time, Rebecca still follows science news, and enjoys birdwatching and any excuse to get out on the water.
