RACHEL SCHTEN
Law Clerk
Rachel began working part-time at LeGrand Law in March 2025 while finishing her final year at Stanford Law School. She will join the firm full-time as an associate in September 2025.
Before joining LeGrand Law, Rachel worked in the public and private sector on a variety of matters spanning environmental law, consumer protection, and state and federal administrative law. Rachel interned for the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office; the California Attorney General’s Office Consumer Protection Section; and the New York State Office of the Attorney General.
Rachel was selected as an Honors Attorney by the U.S. Department of Justice Consumer Protection Branch shortly before that program was cancelled in 2025.
Rachel graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics & Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies. Rachel also minored in Spanish, and speaks Spanish proficiently.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys practicing yoga, attending concerts, cooking, and baking.
